Patient recall
Plan recall around the patient.
Bring the work due for a patient into one plan, then give the right people a clear list to act on. AegisRX supports GP teams with pharmacist-run EMIS searches and regular recall reports.
From separate searches to a coordinated worklist
A condition register, an overdue test and a medication review can lead to several tasks for the same person. Looking at each list separately makes it harder to see which contacts can sensibly be combined and which need their own appointment.
AegisRX brings the recorded requirements together so your team can review the patient's work as a whole. The aim is a practical recall plan with clear priorities and responsibilities, rather than another set of counts to interpret.
Clinical urgency, the patient's preferences, test timing and staff competence still determine the care plan. Some work must happen separately or sooner.
How the managed recall cycle works
- Agree the scope. Confirm the searches, review frequency and practice contacts. Our pharmacists run the agreed read-only EMIS Web searches weekly or monthly.
- Review what is due. Use the resulting lists to identify outstanding work and suitable combinations. Your clinical team confirms priorities and any patient-specific exceptions.
- Allocate the work. Separate invitations and chasing from blood tests, observations, reviews and clinical decisions, then plan against the people available to do them.
- Contact, deliver and record. Practice staff work from the lists in EMIS or export them for their existing workflow, including Accurx where used. Staff contact patients, deliver care and record the outcome.
- Check the next search. A fresh extract shows what has been recorded and what remains open. Check apparent gaps against the record before repeating contact.

Your team stays in control of patient contact
The current service is a managed, read-only EMIS workflow. AegisRX does not automatically send invitations, book appointments or write completion codes into the clinical record. An export is a worklist for your team to use, not evidence that a patient has been contacted or reviewed.
Decide who checks the list, who handles replies and non-response, and who escalates urgent findings. Use your existing clinical and communication procedures between scheduled searches; a weekly or monthly report is not real-time surveillance.
What to bring to a recall discussion
- The recall lists your team currently uses and where work is duplicated.
- Who makes invitations, takes observations, reviews results and makes clinical decisions.
- Your available clinics, contact methods and approach to patients who do not respond.
- The records and completion codes your team will use to check progress.
These details let us discuss how the service would fit your practice. They do not require you to send patient-identifiable information through a public enquiry form.
